Philosophy- Early childhood development should be a time of fun, warmth, security, and exploring. These are also the years when language is mastered,independence grows, and their first friendships are made. We will contribute to all aspects of a child’s development: physical, cognitive, language, spiritual, social, and emotional. Our standards are high, we want your children to be ready for kindergarten. We will guide, stimulate, and encourage each child in carefully planned activities that will allow the child to develop at his/her own rate.

Spiritual Development: Helping the children grow in an understanding of God is of great importance to us. During the year we will introduce your
child to bible stories, bible songs, but most of all we want your child to feel
God’s love through us. We want the children to experience God as a
loving Father and to began relating to him through prayer.

Special Programs: The children will put on a special program to celebrate
Christmas during the month of December. We will have a Graduation
ceremony in May for the students who will be entering kindergarten.
The children will have graduation gowns to wear and we always encourage
everyone to join us during these special events.

Parent / Teacher Communications: In an effort to answer many questions,
I have provided this handbook for future reference. Each child will be
assigned a mailbox to keep parents informed of activities and special events.
Communication is always important between parents and teachers; I encourage you to contact me with any questions that may arise through-out
the year. I will inform you of  Parent / Teacher conferences in advance.

Progress Reports: In an effort to evaluate the progress of each child, I will
send a progress report home quarterly.

Hooked on Phonics: To assist your child with identifying his/her alphabet
I will use the Hooked on Phonics program.

Computer Learning: Your child will be introduced to the basics of using
a computer during our assigned center-time.
